I started Fluenz German a few weeks ago. Many years ago I did all 5 levels of Fluenz Spanish, and loved it. I just completed German Lesson 18, and Sonia said "go to the commons and tell us your favorite part", so here I am. It is definitely fun, but a bit more challenging than I remember Spanish, because of the cases and genders. The instruction and program is great. My favorite part is the listening comprehension parts, where you have to type in the sentences that you've heard.

Anybody else working through German right now? I would be also interested in recommendations for supplementing Fluenz as well. Also, I am doing 1 lesson per day, but I really have 2 or more hours per day that I can spend on this, so I'm curious if doing two lessons is a good idea, or if I should simply study the material I've learned more and keep at that pace.

Thank you for the information, I had no idea about the percentage bookmarking feature so I will def use that. I will also try the hard refresh for the mic (I am on a Mac). It comes and goes. I got to it to work for a couple weeks after posting this, now it's stopped working again, so I'll do the hard refresh. I also use DDG as a browser not Safari nor Chrome, so that could be an issue too. Thank you!

Hi everyone, thank you for sharing your thoughts and for being so candid about your experience here. The Fluenz Commons is meant to be a space where learners connect, share, and help each other with language questions, but we completely understand the frustration when conversations go quiet for too long. While our team does join in, the main goal is peer-to-peer exchange — still, we’ll make sure to be more present so questions don’t go unanswered. And just to reassure you, Fluenz is very much active: we continue to update and improve our programs (some languages have received major upgrades recently, while others get ongoing corrections), even if that’s not always reflected directly in Commons. For anything requiring a direct or prompt response, the fastest way to reach us is always through usersupport@fluenz.com
, but we also want Commons to feel like a lively, supportive space and will keep working on that. Thanks again for being such an engaged part of the community — your feedback really helps us improve.

Should you have any concerns regarding content, technical issues, or access, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at usersupport@fluenz.com.
