Flashcards versus other available apps
-
¡Hola a todos! There have been times when I only had 5 minutes to practice on the fly, so I have found 3 other language apps that have fed me lots of vocab to fill in the blanks in the Fluenz program. I LOVE the way Fluenz uses and re-uses a smaller bank of vocab for mastery rather than throwing hundreds of unreinforced words around.
The Flashcards, which I have recently "discovered" feel more like an assessment, or a test, of my Fluenz Spanish mastery. That content is limited to what is presented in the lessons, but it is such a good way to review, review, review!
I did not realize how helpful the simple vocab apps have been until I began engaging in conversations with natives. I found some people online who allowed me to "come as I am" to practice with, and found that the extra vocab resources were very helpful, too.
I use Memrize and Drops the most. I've tried other apps but eventually disliked them for various reasons.
Which supplements do you use to fill out your vocab?

¡Hola!
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're thrilled that you love how Fluenz focuses on mastery with a targeted vocabulary set. It’s great to hear you're finding value in the Flashcards feature too.Combining resources can definitely enhance your learning, especially when practicing with native speakers. Besides Memrise and Drops, many users also enjoy Anki, Quizlet, or even podcasts. Have you tried Fluenz Audio? You can find it in the Fluenz App or online in the My Profile section—definitely worth checking out!
Thanks for being part of the Fluenz community, and happy learning!
Best,
