Thank you for checking this out for me. No matter how many times I played it, I could only hear what I heard, which was incorrect. I followed up on it today and cannot hear it incorrectly. Sometimes it helps to move along and come back later. That idea is the more important take away for me with this little adventure. It's a very common occurrence for me while listening to music as well.
Welcome to the New Fluenz Commons! We’re excited to have you here! This is your space to connect, share, and learn with fellow language learners. Feel free to jump into conversations, ask questions, and get inspired.

Error found in Spanish Upgraded Level 3, Lesson 29In the "Write the words you hear" section, at 70% completion, there was a discrepancy between what the speaker said and the correct written response. I'm not 100% certain, but to me the accepted written response makes more sense than what the speaker said; however, I doubt that the speaker would say anything that didn't make sense.
In either case, this is the phrase in question:
¿Podrían ENSEÑARNOS (o enseñarlos) los pasaportes ahora?

Flashcards versus other available apps¡Hola a todos! There have been times when I only had 5 minutes to practice on the fly, so I have found 3 other language apps that have fed me lots of vocab to fill in the blanks in the Fluenz program. I LOVE the way Fluenz uses and re-uses a smaller bank of vocab for mastery rather than throwing hundreds of unreinforced words around.
The Flashcards, which I have recently "discovered" feel more like an assessment, or a test, of my Fluenz Spanish mastery. That content is limited to what is presented in the lessons, but it is such a good way to review, review, review!
I did not realize how helpful the simple vocab apps have been until I began engaging in conversations with natives. I found some people online who allowed me to "come as I am" to practice with, and found that the extra vocab resources were very helpful, too.
I use Memrize and Drops the most. I've tried other apps but eventually disliked them for various reasons.
Which supplements do you use to fill out your vocab?

Different ways to say things. Regional differences?Hi @Keats ! In August this year you were working through Level 1. It took me several years to start and restart to complete levels 1, 2, and finally level 3. What is your learning journey like today?

Different Y soundsWhen I began learning about phonemes in Spanish, my awareness of how I pronounce my native English was heightened. I've found that language exchanges, or intercambios, are a fantastic way to see two languages from two perspectives at once. English learners have such fantastic questions, and that helps me understand that I am experiencing similar challenges as I learn other languages. Making learning social has been absolutely key to my growth!

I just finished Spanish Level 3!I have completed every lesson in Fluenz Spanish 1, 2, and 3! Most of them I've done more than twice, but my increased confidence helped me move forward through level 3 even though I don't have full mastery yet.
I am so excited. Thank you for this bread and butter tool that I will use for my next few languages down the road!

Success in Mérida, México! My profile pic is part of the airbnb we stayed at in Mérida, México. The most special times that I enjoyed were among the natives there. I even got to sit around someone's comedor and converse in Spanish without a translator! The people are very friendly, and as Sonia has promised many times, the food was amazing! Among my favorites was Ponchinita Pibil, a kind of slow roasted pork that is marinated in fresh orange juice and cooked inside banana leaves.
Friendly tip - ICE is water. ¡Cuidate mucho!

Alignment with the European FrameworkI'm ready to do lesson 30 of Level 3 in the Upgraded Spanish program (it's been a loooong road!). Do you have a general idea of where my skillset would be on the European Framework at the end of Level 3? I'm thinking A2, early B1 based on my abilities. I am able to participate in Spanish conversations at length, especially if the other person knows at least a little English.
I don't need any exact measure, but I have been wondering about this question for a while. Gracias!
