I am in the 2nd level of portuguese and feel I am doing well. I am going to Portugal next month and recently read that the language of one country won't help in the other. Does anyone feel that's true. My Spanish is very good (thanks Fluenz among many other things) so the study of Portuguese seems fairly easy to me, so far. I intend to go to Brazil but Portugal will be first. Thoughts on this are appreciated.
