  • Visitare vs. Trovare
    S susandeedavies

    Hello,
So as I understand it, visitare is used when referring to visiting places, while trovare is used when referring to visiting people.
Yet there are instances where visitare is used to refer to visiting people as in - Devo visitare la mia famiglia -
So I just wanted to clarify the exact differences between these two terms when used in the context of "to visit"
    Thank you

  • Articles following "con"
    S susandeedavies

    Hello,
So I know Fluenz stresses the importance of articles following "con," as in, "con il ghiaccio" ...
This being the case, I found it quite surprising that, when doing Pimsleur, they never even mentioned articles following "con" - so it would be "con ghiaccio"
I posted this question on Reddit and a bit of a debate ensued between users (https://www.reddit.com/r/italianlearning/comments/1fryv4o/articles_following_con/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button).
    Thoughts?
