Hello, LA Spanish 5, lesson 20, pick the right answer, has this sentence: Siempre que puedo voy a la playa. Could someone help me with the translation? I don't recall an explanation of "siempre que" nor the use of two conjugated 1st person verbs - "puedo voy." Thanks!

Whenever I can I go to the beach. I guess adding a coma between puedo and voy would have helped.

OK, got it now. Yep, a comma would've helped. Thanks Fabrice.

LA Spanish 5 session 6 teaches the use of the imperfect tense of estar to express feelings in the past. For example, estaba aburrida - I was bored. Now in session 8, match the phrase uses preterit: "El juego de fútbol estuvo aburrido y caro". Any explanations anyone? Muchas gracias.

I was glad when Swype became available for Apple devices. However, I'm not having any luck using it with the flashcards on my recently purchased iPad. Anyone else experience this? I like Swype because I can easily do the writing flashcards with one hand while eating with the other. 8<) (I was able to successfully use Swype with the flashcards on my Kindle Fire.)

Hello, in LA Spanish 4, lesson 19, is this: "Si quiere, él te lo da esta noche." The translation given is: "If you want, he'll give it to you(i) tonight." If "quiere" and "te" refer to the same person, this is mixing formal and informal use in one sentence. I have not seen this before - is it correct usage or a typo? Muchas gracias.

Hola DYerks, Thanks a lot for bringing that to our attention. You are of course right and it should be "Si quieres, él te lo da esta noche". We have fixed this and the corrected version will be available in the next update. Muchas gracias again!

LA Spanish 4 Session 6 has this ¿Se fueron a acostar? for "Did they go to bed?" Why have fueron when acostarse means "to go to bed"? Would this also be correct: ¿Ellos se acostaron? Gracias.

Hi DYerks, Thanks for your question. While it's not wrong to say ¿Se fueron a acostar?, we changed the sentence to ¿Se acostaron? as we hadn't taught this structure and it's not necessary since "acostarse" already means "to go to bed". This change will be available on the updates page shortly. You can access the updates here: http://commons.fluenz.com/downloads/software-updates If we can help further, please email us at: usersupport@fluenz.com Cheers, Fluenz User Support

Love the flashcard tool - it's very helpful and I use it often. One gripe though: at the end of a session, it always tells me that I've missed a bunch of "writing" flashcards. When I opt to redo the ones it says I missed, most of the ones it makes me redo are not "writing" but "old school". Never had this problem before the big flashcard update a few months ago. It's a little frustrating. Am using Firefox 30.0 on OS X iMac. Any ideas? BTW, I love Fluenz. Have just started LA Spanish 4 and can now talk a little with my Spanish speaking coworkers. It's a real rush!!

There is also another issue. I think it has to do with the time I take to finish the flashcards. I counted 12 errors I made, but it told me I made 60 errors. That was incorrect. I think the login cookies expire before I have time to finish the exercices, and when you combine more than 1 session at a time, it's easy to get to that problem. The login cookie is too short, and the system cannot update the correct answers I think. When I finished the 100%, it told me I made 60 errors, and I clicked on "Resume" and it started at about 70%, so it definitely looks like it lost track of my progress, and those 60 errors were probably the ones it didn't count.

I've also experienced the same issues as Fabrice. It loses track of where I stopped in the previous session, and the number of errors when I reach 100% is way higher than what I truly missed. I've been using the flashcards for two years - didn't have these problems before the big update. Thanks for looking into it.
