I highly recommend watching 2NIGHT- Italian film made in 2016 or 2017- available on Amazon Prime. Very modern, very believable, and very funny. The dialogue isn’t hard to follow (as there are only 3 characters). I could follow it pretty well and I am only up to Italian 3 in FLUENZ. It all takes place in one night in Rome. You won’t be sorry. The acting is really good and so is the story and the music.

I am confusing direct and indirect object pronouns? Any fast tips to get them into my head? Also: having trouble with syntax with direct and indirect object pronouns (more with the indirect). Any recommendations on how to the Italian sentence structure (the order of the words)?

Hi Dianne, I recommend reviewing session 20, level 5, which is focused on direct and indirect pronouns. There is almost no new material in that session, so both the tutorial and the exercises are very useful to practice the sentence structure and the pronouns themselves. Hope this helps!

I am a Fluenz Italian student but at present I am going to an Italian conversation class in the city where I live. Sometimes we are learning a verb or some other grammar in class and I want to review only that subject from FLUENZ. How can I look up just one topic without having to go through all the FLUENZ sessions to find it?

Along with using my FLUENZ Italian daily, I attend a mostly conversational Italian class 1x/week. My teacher said tavolo is used for a table that is not used for eating (i.e. A study table) and that tavola is used for the table where we gather to eat. This seems inconsistent with FLUENZ Italian 3. Any responses?

My understanding is that tavola used used for a table that is actually laid out with food, while tavolo is used for the table itself, whether or not it is a dining table.

Thanks Gordy, that is consistent with my conversation class. I wonder how come Fluenz does not distinguish between the two?
