Numbers article: Awesome! I didn't feel that there was enough numbers or letters practice in the lessons. Blog Page: Amazing! I didn't know this existed!

When you want to say the reason you are doing something, you'll use 'para'. The easiest trick is that if you can replace the 'to' in English with 'in order to' then use para. So for example, 'Estoy aquí para hablar con españoles'—'I'm here (in order) to speak with Spanish people'. But "por" can be translated as "because of". So you say "por trabajo" = "because of work" and "para trabajar" = "in order to work/for working". We can say that we'd use "por" when we want to talk about the reason why we do something and "para" when we refer to the purpose. - "Vine a los Estados Unidos por trabajo = (I) came to the United States for work/because of (my) work": the stress is on the fact that work is the reason why I came to the United States. - "Vine a los Estados Unidos para trabajar" = (I) came to the United States (in order) to work": the stress is on the purpose of the trip.

Our servers at Amazon S3 are down which is causing all kinds of issues for Fluenz. They're working to get everything back up. Apologies for the downtime. http://linkis.com/techcrunch.com/2017/s9JiD

Yesterday (Dec 30), my flashcards got off by one. When I typed in the answer, it expected the answer to the previous page (which had flashed by without opportunity for input). I was able to go out of the program and back in to make it work fine but preventing this might be something to add to the error checking software.

This was a good read and I recommend it to anyone interested in learning languages. About the book (taken from the site) "If you've ever tried to learn another language, you know how much time, energy, and brain power is required. Imagine a person who can pick up languages very easily. Someone who can navigate our world's multilingual hullaballoo. Who can leap language barriers with a single bound. Who can learn without effort and remember indelibly. Such people aren't parrots. They're not computers. They're language superlearners. Michael Erard searched for these people, and when he found them -- in history books and living among us -- he tried to make sense of their linguistic feats and their mental powers. His book answers the age-old question, What are the upper limits of the human ability to learn, remember, and use languages?" http://www.babelnomore.com/ Cheers , Andy

We resolved the issue with the flashcards shortly after this. Clearing the browser's cache and re-launching it should do the trick. Email us if it still persists at usersupport@fluenz.com

About the Flashcards, is there a trick to choose which style of flashcards you would like to use? I can never choose anything other than old school as the drop down menu doesn't work. Anything along the bar further than choosing which sessions I would like to study I cannot click
