I have written this before, but there has been no action by Fluenz, so I am posting publicly in hopes that it might stimulate some action.

The flashcards are useful, but they do not go far enough. There are not enough complex sentences, which is what conversation in the real world is like. In the second "match the phrase" workout in the DVD's, there are many complex sentences that should be incorporated in the flashcards but are not. I have also suggested composing many new sentences because the constant repetition leads to automatic rote responses whereas conversation is unpredictable.

Fluenz is arguably the best language programme, but there are areas where it can be improved.

I was wondering the same thing for the French program.

Hi Archie, Those are very good points for us to consider and we will keep them in mind as we continue our development of Fluenz.

The current way that the Flashcards function use words and phrases from the same drills in the program itself and are a tool for users to continue practice with phrases and sentences that were already taught. My suggestion would be to select the Super Random mode to mix things up as much as possible.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

I was thinking the same thing-doing Spanish. For Spain. Love the program, minor area of improvement.
