I am making some revisions using the flashcards and I came across a structure issue. I thought the location was always before the verb so why is the first correct but not the second (according to the flashcards) ?

gōngchē jǐ diǎn dào zhèli - correct
gōngchē jǐ diǎn zài zhèli dào - incorrect, why?

jǐ diǎn nǐ lái zhèli - correct
jǐ diǎn nǐ zài zhèli lái - incorrect, why?

jǐ diǎn nǐ dào jǐudiàn - correct
jǐ diǎn nǐ zài jǐudiàn dào - incorrect, why?

Then later we have

nǐ yào zài nǎli chī - correct
nǐ yào chī nǎli correct too - then why is that one correct too if the previous examples were incorrect?

If both structures are always correct, then when is it actually incorrect to put the location after the verb?

Thanks!

Alright so I asked around and for future students here is the answer.

gōngchē jǐ diǎn dào zhèli / gōngchē jǐ diǎn zài zhèli dào
jǐ diǎn nǐ lái zhèli / jǐ diǎn nǐ zài zhèli lái
jǐ diǎn nǐ dào jǐudiàn / jǐ diǎn nǐ zài jǐudiàn dào
nǐ yào chī nǎli / nǐ yào zài nǎli chī

The first three using zài are incorrect because they indicate movement, whereas zài is used for static location.
The 4th one correctly uses zài. The alternative is incorrect because the location should go before the verb, and zài is obligatory. If something comes after chī it should be the object of that verb, i.e. the thing being eaten.

I was supposed to take HSK 1 exam this week but they moved it to next month :( Oh well..

Thanks for pointing this out Fabrice, we'll remove the incorrect option asap.
As mentioned in Mandarin 1+2,at this stage, when in doubt, better place the location before the verb, except with a few verbs, among them verbs of movement like qù, or the two examples you have here.
Word order is one of the challenges of Mandarin, so congrats on working this out!
